History | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

The year was 1997. Bill Clinton was president, and Hanson taught an entire generation of kids how bad music sounded. But in tiny little Cleveland Hts, Ohio, something else was brewing. | Disturbicorp, a giant that was long dormant, and had not made a new product since 1979, merged with Ridboy Amalgamated, a company of similar status, to try to jump start the respective companies. They created a holding company, Disturbicorp, by which the two original companies would become subsidiaries and retain their original names, but be owned by Disturbicorp and share costs through the union. The two companies decided to use a common motto as well, deciding to drop both Disturbica's "Where you don't want to go today" and Ridboy's "Quality is job two". Paul Kirk, CEO of Ridboy, & James Hilton, CEO of Disturbica, Came up with a new phrase "Great minds think alike. So do we." About nine months later, the new company agreed to acquire Corey Rubin's O-S products Inc as a subsidiary. The company was not quite complete though. Unfortunately, in November the company acquired a company that didn't fit well. The deal was disasterous and we sold the company back to it's original founder and bought back his shares. It was a very dark chapter in Disturbicorp's history. To get back on track, Disturbicorp acquired Embezco Intl, which has filled very nicely with the rest of our subsidiaries, and is run by a former labor representative, Nick Iammarino. Embezco also gave us international distribution, which has helped the company very well. The future presents many new challenges for Disturbicorp. We look forward to meeting these challenges and continuing to provide the same services through which Disturbicorp has become known. Sincerely, James Hilton CEO of Disturbica Industries Ltd. Member of Executive Board. ![]() View My Guestbook
